Cupcake Challenge

Bella Art is having a cupcake challenge on February 13.  I'm not much at baking so I did the next best thing.  Here is a paper cupcake.  The base of the cupcake is a coffee cup covered with an accordion folded cardstock by Basic Grey.  The cupcake is a styrofoam ball covered with punched 3/4 inch circles from Making Memories Love Struck line.  Pink pom pom ribbon is from May Arts; green ribbon is from Magenta.  The wooden ball on the top of the cupcake was painted with acrylic paint.  The cupcake was sprayed with adhesive and glitter applied.  Check out Bella Art's cupcake challenge; it's not too late.  http://www.bellaartonline.com/.

Bunny Basket

This cute basket was created to hold the chocolate covered candy.  The basket is blue paper from Core'dinations, cut and sanded to create the fence posts.  The handle was cut with Fiskars scalloped scissors and punched with a 1/16 inch punch.  The bunny heads were cut with the Cricut and glittered with pink Jewel Glitter.  The candy was wrapped with standard mailing labels that were stamped and embossed with clear embossing powder and sponged with colored Versa Fine ink.  The stamp is from Savvy Stamps.  You can see the detail on the embossed label on the bunny at the back of the basket.  Prima flowers were added to the side of the basket.

Heart Explosion Book

This heart explosion book was created with paper from Making Memories Love Struck line and Basic Grey Sugar Rush line.  6 X 6 squares were cut and folded to create the explosion book.  Each explosion fold was cut in the shape of a heart and glued together.  A silk ribbon was added to each end to tie it together.  The inside of each fold was decorated with paper from Making Memories.

Another version of the explosion fold is this hanging heart. It can be filled with chocolate or a special Valentine treat.

Bunny Easel Card

This bunny stamp is from Outlines Rubber Stamps and is a perfect use of the bleach technique.  The stamp was stamped with Black Versafine ink and embossed with  polysparkle embossing powder on a light green Bazzill cardstock.  The bunny was bleached with household bleach.  The flowers and bunny ears were colored with Copic markers.  Liquid Applique was added to the tail of the bunny.  Lemon yellow Liquid Pearl was added to the center of the flowers.  The green cardstock was layered on pink cardstock.  The base of the card is an easel card created with green cardstock.  The second picture shows the easel card.  The scallop edge was created with a Fiskar's punch.  The scallop edge was scored and folded to create the easel.  The words are from A Muse and were stamped with black Versafine ink and embossed with polysparke embossing powder.

Love

The base of this card is created with Bazzill cardstock and layered with Making Memories Glitter Bird Love Struck paper. The words are from Stamping Bella and were stamped with Palette black ink on Memory Box pink paper and colored with Copic markers. The pink satin ribbon is from May Arts. Green dew drops were added to the corners of the top layer. Glitter was added to the words with DeNami glitter and a Quickie glue pen.

Pears

This is one of my favorite stamps from Stampington & Company.  The single pear was stamped three times using a masking technique.  The ink was Ranger distress inks in mustard seed and dried marigold, and Marvy sea foam heritage ink.  The stars were colored with brown Marvy marker directly on the stamp.   The words are from Technique Tuesday and were stamped with green ink.  The base of the card is green Bazzill cardstock.  A layer of black Bazzill cardstock was used.  A corner punch was used on the white and black layer.  Three gold dew drops were added to the bottom of the card.

Flap Card

This flap card was created with blue Bazzill cardstock as the base.  The pattern paper is from Melissa Francis.  The scallops were cut with the Spellbinders die cuts and layered on the flap of the card.  The beige paper is from Memory Box.  The Prima flower and grey hat pin (source unknown) embellish the card.  The words are from Hero Arts.

Thistle

This Penny Black stamp was colored with lavender and green Marvy markers directly on the stamp.  It was spritzed with water and stamped on white cardstock.   The base of the card is Bazzil cardstock.  The second layer is embossed with the Cuttlebug embossing folder.  The white cardstock is edged with a Krylon silver leaf pen.

Water Color Card

This card was created with a water color technique.  The stamp is from Hero Arts.  Adirondack ink in terra cotta, cranberry, oregano, and currant was layered on the stamp and then spritzed with water and stamped on white cardstock.  The card was layered on green shimmery cardstock and orange Bazzill cardstock.  The words from Technique Tuesday were stamped with black Versafine ink.
