Ornament Tag

This cute ornament tag was created with two circles of Bazzil green cardstock. The snowflakes are from the Amuse Simple Celebrations set. The snowflakes were stamped and embossed with gold embossing powder. A strip of gold cardstock was folded in half and cut with scallop scissors. Gold cord was used to hang the ornament. This can be used as a gift tag on a package without the cord.

Christmas Wine Bottle Tag

I created this tag to use as a wine bottle tag. The cardstock is a red Bazzil paper. I added the white chenille wire ribbon across the bottom of the tag and down the center of the tag leaving enough at the top to create a loop to hang the tag. I used Ultimate glue to adhere the chenille. Black Bazzil cardstock was used to create the belt. I used a piece of gold and black cardstock layered to create the belt buckle. Gold Dew Drops were used for the buttons, also applied with Ultimate glue. The chenille ribbon is wired so you can easily shape this tag around your favorite wine bottle.

Snowman Tags

This stamp is from My Favorite Things. It was stamped with VersaFine black and colored with Copic markers and layered on red and green paper. I used the Spellbinders scallop die cuts and a Marvy punch for the circle.

Christmas Tags

Here are some quick and easy tags that look great for larger packages. The first tag uses Heidi Grace paper, cut and layered on pink Bazzil paper. The second tag is a Luxe paper, colored with Copic markers, and layered on a blue paper. A ribbon was added to both tags.

Inkadinkado Flower Stamp, Second Card

This is the second card I made with the same Inkadinkado stamp. With this card I stamped the flower and the words in gold and embossed it with gold embossing powder on a shimmery gold paper. Both pieces were layered on brown paper. The background is a shimmery paper from SEI's Windsor Sommerset collection. The background is layered on a brown cardstock; the base of the card is the same gold shimmery paper. A ribbon was added to the thank you tag. The word stamp is from Technique Tuesday.

Inkadinkado Flower Stamp

I used this stamp to create two different cards. Often when you buy a stamp, you have one card in mind and struggle to come up with a different idea.

For this card I started by stamping the flower only in Versa Color Peony. I stamped it many times making it a background. I stamped off the paper first, then stamped the image three or four times before reinking. Then I stamped the flower with the stem 3 times. I masked the first two images so I wouldn't have overlapping leaves. I used a Marvy olive maker for the stems and leaves. The words are from Wordsworth. The card was layered on a pink Bazzil cardstock. I embellished the flowers with Liquid Pearls in Lemon Yellow and the leaves with clear Stickles.

Nutcracker

This is such a cute paper from Graphic 45. The card is made from brown cardstock, layered with red Bazzil paper, then the decorative paper. The words were stamped in gold ink with gold embossing powder on brown paper layered in the red Bazzil paper. I used a slot punch to thread the ribbon under the words. Gold Dew Drops were placed on the corners. The inside of the card is a pop up card with individual nutcrackers cut and layered on the pop up steps. Very cute! I'm going to send this card to my nieces and nephew in California; I think they will like it. I even got a wow out of my son!

Flowers

Here is a cute card that is easy to make.

The stamp is from Memory Box Spring Flowers. The flowers were stamped in Versa Color Peony, Ash Rose, Petal Pink, Sage, Mountain Lake, Baby Blue, and Boysenberry. The stems were punched with a paper piercer. The card was layered on black and then purple cardstock. A pearl was added to the center of each flower and the flowers were covered with clear Stickles. A ribbon was added to the bottom of the card.

Monogram Cards

This paper is a beautiful paisley foil paper from Heidi Grace Designs. The picture doesn't show the shimmer in the paper. I used this paper to make a set of four note cards. I used four brown cards from Waste Not paper with matching envelopes. The paisley paper was layered on each note card. A strip of pink shimmery paper was added to each card. Using the Spellbinders scallop circles, I layered a brown and beige circle. I used an alphabet stamp from Clearly Wordsworth for the monogram.

Poinsettias

This is a really elegant looking card. The poinsettia paper is from Cloud 9 Designs Christmas Joy Collection. It's difficult to see from the photo that some of the flowers are glittered. Using an Exacto knife I partially cut around two poinsettias. A gold shimmery cardstock was stamped with Encore gold ink and embossed with gold embossing powder. The gold carstock was placed under the two cut poinsettias. Two additional poinsettias were cut from an extra piece of paper. A large poinsettia was layered over the large poinsettia with mounting tape. A small poinsettia was added to the top right side of the card. Gold Art Glitter Elements were added to the center of each poinsettia with Glossy Accents. The base of the card is the same gold shimmery cardstock.

Christmas Penguin

This card was made with Cloud 9 Design Christmas Boughs paper. The penguin was stamped on the decorative paper and again on white paper. The penguin was cut from the white paper and layered over the decorative paper. The scarf was colored with red and green Marvy Markers. The red blocks in the scarf were covered with red Stickles, the green blocks and the penguin were covered with Glossy Accents. Red Stickles covered the red berries in the paper. The words are from Outlines, stamped in Versafine black with red Stickles added to the border. The words were layered in red and green Bazzil paper. A red and green checked ribbon was used.

Christmas Medallion

This is a style that I enjoy. The Holly Berry House medallion was stamped four times with Versamark on various shades of blue Bazzil paper and embossed with white embossing powder. Each one was cut and layered with mounting tape. Between the first and second layer I added a snowflake cut from a lace snowflake paper. The medallion was placed on blue Bazzil cardstock that was stamped with a snowflake from Technique Tuesday's No Two Alike set in Versa Color Baby Blue ink. The words are from Rubber Soul;and are stamped in Stazon ultramarine ink. The top layer of the medallion was covered with Lapis Art Glitter glass glitter. An organdy ribbon was add to the top of the medallion.

Graphic 45 Paper

This card was made with Graphic 45 paper and punching a border around a red shimmery paper. A corner punch from KI Success was used. After punching the corners, the guard was removed from the punch and the sides were punched trying to space them equally. The text from Psalm 23, The Lord is My Shepherd, was computer generated on the Graph 45 paper. The punched paper was layered over the printed text. Gold Dew Drops and a gold ribbon were used to embellish the card.

We Wish You a Merry Christmas

This is a really easy card. The paper is more of the Memory Box Christmas Brights Collection. The two designs were layered on red cardstock. The stamp is from Hero Arts stamped with Versafine Black ink and colored with Marvy Markers. The ornaments were covered with Glossy Accents. Red grosgrain ribbon was thread behind the ornaments.

O Christmas Tree

This card is made with a selection of Memory Box Christmas papers and an Outlines Rubberstamp. The tree was stamped 3 times using a mask to overlap them on white paper. The tree was stamped again on three different Memory Box papers. The trees were cut into three sections and pieced together over the original three trees. The tree trunks were colored with a gold Galaxy marker.

Trick or Treat

This is a fun Halloween card, quick and easy. The green paper from Memory Box is stamped with an Outlines flower stamp that looks like it could be cobwebs. I cut the letters with my Sizzix using the same green paper stamped with the Outlines stamp. The orange stripe and brown paper with spiders is a double sided paper from heidi grace designs. I like working with the double sided paper; it makes coordinating colors easier. The ribbon is a black grosgrain ribbon. The card is layered on black cardstock.

Hang in There

One of the men at work had emergency surgery. Get well cards for men are not something I usually make. Here is one that I think will work. The monkey stamp is from Hero Arts, the words are from Stampendous, the branches and leaves are from Impression Obsession.

Happy Holidays Penguin

.
Here is another card using the same Rubber Soul Penguin. The glitter over the white cardstock was applied by adding a thin layer of glossy accents after the penguin was stamped and colored and then sprinkled with glitter. The happy holiday words are from the Hero Arts Holiday Message Background stamp. I used green and red Marvy markers to stamp only the happy holidays words. This is a nice size card for a money holder. The card is 5 1/2 by 4 1/4.

Merry Christmas Penguin

Here is my first attempt at uploading a photo to the blog. The penguin is from Rubber Soul . and the words are from Inkadinkadoo. I added Stardust Stickles to the white cardstock after I stamped penguin. The Stickles is spread thinly over the white cardstock with my finger. The ribbon is a denim paper ribbon. You can't tell from the photo. This was my third attempt. I need to continue to work on the contrast.

Trial Blogging

I've been reading so many blogs, I thought I would try one myself to share some of my rubber stamping with family and friends. I hope you will enjoy some of my work.
