Happy Birthday, Barbara

Happy birthday to my sister, Barbara.   This is a tri-shutter card made with maroon and pink Bazzill cardstock and pattern paper from Karen Neuburger.    The words were cut from the Basic Shapes Cricut machine.
The open view of the card shows a different pattern paper (source unknown) and a flower also cut from the Cricut.  Words are from Versus and were stamped with magenta Versa Color ink.

Halloween Pumpkin Patch

This is a cute halloween card for any little gobblins on your list.  The paper is from Creative Imaginisce.  There are several cute images on this paper layed out in rows.  The base of the card is black Bazzill cardstock with a layer of orange Bazzill cardstock.  The black web ribbon is from Maya Arts.  The words are cut from Sizzix Lollipop letters on grungeboard, colored with orange Versa Color ink and embossed with Ranger Polysparkle embossing powder.

Halloween

This 4 X 4 card was made with Halloween paper from Imaginisce.  The base of the card is orange Bazzill cardstock with a layer of black Bazzill cardstock.  The words were cut with Sizzix lollipop letters on Grungeboard.  They were colored with orange Versa Color ink and embossed with Range Polysparkle embossing powder.

Chipboard Bird

I created this card with a chipboard bird from Creative Imaginations.  It was covered with paper from Crate Paper (one of my favorite paper lines).  A black pearl from Kaiser Pearls was used for the eye.  The flower medalion was made with paper from Collage Press.  The base of the card is green Memory Box cardstock stamped with lime Versa Color ink with a flourish stamp from Technique Tuesday.  The words are from Inkadinkado and were stamped with magenta Versa Color ink.  A white Inkessentials pen embellishes the words.

Floral Flourish

Here is another chipboard card.  The flower was painted with Pearl Magenta Lumiere acrylic paint.  The swirl was painted with Pearl Blue Lumiere acrylic paint diluted with water.  The base of the card is pink Memory Box cardstock.  The pattern paper is from Melissa Frances.  The flower was embellished with a white Inkessentials pen.  The swirl was stamped with white Versa Color ink and a swirl stamp from Technique Tuesday.  A button was added to the flower.

Lady Bug 3-D Card

This is a cute 3-D lady bug card made with 3 scallop circles folded in half and glued together to make the body.  The head is circle punch and the antenna are drawn with a fine line maker with two smaller circles.  The base of the card is red Bazzill cardstock with a layer of black and then white cardstock.  The words are from Memory Box and are stamped in black Versafine ink.   The black dots were created by punching small dots with a Marvy punch.  This was tedious but worth the work.

Penguin Chef

Ready for another cook out!  This Memory Box penguin and grill were stamped with black Versafine ink and cut out.  They were also stamped on the patter paper from Crate paper and  pieced over the stamped image.  The sun was stamped in yellow Versa Color ink and punched out.  The words are from Hero Arts and were stamped with black Versafine ink on light brown cardstock.  The base of the card is brown cardstock from A Muse.   My father and sister Bev are the official cookout cooks in my family.  They both deserve an award for all of the cookouts this summer!  We officially closed out the summer cookouts yesterday with usual cast of characters and a few rounds of Hi-Lo-Jack!

Birthday Card

This is a busy card.  I sent this to my nephew, William, for his 14th birthday.  William came to visit this summer from Colorado; his first trip to Rhode Island, I hope he enjoyed it and will send his sister, Stacy next.  The base of the card is green cardstock.  The happy birthday background was run through the Cuttlebug and sanded to reveal the words on the lighter side of the Core' dinations cardstock.  The main image is from Impressive Obsessions; it was stamped with Pallet Noir Ink and colored with Copic markers.  The layer of green cardstock was stamped with green Versa  Color ink and palm leaves from Impressive Obsessions.

Golf Cart

This is my first golf themed card.  I have several golfers in my family so this will come in handy.  When I saw this plaid paper from Graphics 45, I had to use it.   The golf cart is from A Muse.  It was stamped on red, white and beige cardstock.  The red awning and golf  bag were cut and pieced onto the beige cardstock, the white base of the golf cart was cut and layered on the beige cardstock.  The red scalloped layer was cut with the Spellbinders die cut.  The base of the card is red.  The red and black cardstock strip were layered and run through a crimper.  The words are from A muse.  All stamping was done with black Versafine ink.  For a change I decorated the inside of the card with a similar pattern.  The picture is below.  The words are from Verses.  Keeping in mind the golf theme, the words inside could say "just swinging by to say hi!"  What do you think?

Christmas Shutter Card

This was my first attempt at a shutter card and creating a flower medalion from cardstock.  The flower medalion was made by scoring a 1 1/2 inch by 12 inch strip of cardstock every 1/2 inch.  Next, accordian fold the strip and glue the two sides together. Press the accordian circle flat by loosly gathering the folds on the top and pushing down.  The base of the card is red Bazzill cardstock.  It was layered with decorative paper from DeNami.  Below is the open view.  The ornaments were stamped and embossed with gold embossing powder.  The holly leaves are from My Sentiments Exaclty and were stamped with green Versa Color ink; the red berries were colored with red Stickles.  The tree is from  My Sentiments Exactly and is stamped with green Versa Color ink.  The words are from A Muse and are stamped in red Versa Color ink.  A white button and green sheer ribbon were added to the flower medalion.  The open view is below.

Surfin Santa

This was a fun card to make.  The Surfin Santa stamp is from A Muse.  Santa was stamped on white cardstock cut with a Marvy scallop punch.  Santa was colored with Marvy markers.  The beard and white parts of the hat were covered with white Liquid Pearls.  The waves were stamped with Mountain BlueVersa Color Ink (second generation stamping) and were covered with Stickles.  This was layered on red cardstock punched with a scallop Marvy punch.  The waves on the blue gingham A Muse paper were created with Stickles.  Words are from A Muse and were stamped in the same Mountain Blue ink.

Season's Greetings

This card was made with red Memory Box cardstock for the base.  The pattern paper is from Creative Imaginations.  Green Bazzill cardstock was cut with the spellbinders scallop die cut.  The stamps are from Salt Box Studio and are stamped in green Versa Color ink.  The bow was colored with red Souffle pen.  Red gems from Memory Box were added to the wreath.
